In order to find quickly our Hotel and just in case you will arrive BY CAR, we’d like to give you some INFORMATION to locate us, together with a MAP of the town (ON THE SECOND PAGE).
Many guests find it useful to print the map and these directions to aid them in locating us in this charming, but sometimes “confusing old city."
When you enter Amalfi (town), continue on the coast road down to the harbour and the mini-round about next to the narrow entrance into the MAIN SQUARE: “PIAZZA DUOMO”.
IF YOU ARE DRIVING, with your reservation or your accommodation voucher, you may turn into this Piazza, despite all the 'No entry' signs due to the RESTRICTIVE TRAFFIC
ZONE BY-LAW, no problem, all the Hotel Guests are authorized to drive with their cars in the historical centre, we just need to know, at your arrival, CAR MODEL + REGISTRATION NUMBER to pass these information to the authorities in order to avoid any sanction during your stay here in Amalfi. If the road is guarded by a policeman on duty, show him the reservation to gain entry and tell him you are going to use Hotel Floridiana GARAGE.
Once you have arrived in the main square about 50mt beyond the Cathedral steps, on the right side you will find a traffic light, (to control the traffic in the very narrow main street), just 2mt (no more) right behind the traffic light there is a NARROW HIDDEN (right side alley way), marked with a ceramic arrow to indicate “ Hotel Floridiana”. Walk up the few stairs and turn left into the Hotel courtyard.
Due to the RESTRICTIVE TRAFFIC ZONE BY-LAW, you cannot drop your luggage out of your car in this zone, you have to do it in our GARAGE (about 200mt. from the Hotel). We provide a FREE LUGGAGE SERVICE from 8:00 to 20:00 An electric small car will carry your luggage, sometimes it takes a little bit longer, you don’t have to wait, leave your luggage in the car, it will be carried to the Hotel .
To go to our Garage you have to pass the traffic light and drive up the hill to the end of the main shopping street (about 200mt.) where two-way traffic is restored. Just before the road enters a short tunnel under a large red house, on the right side, you can see 4 big GREEN GARAGE DOORS, between the first two doors is written “Garage Hotel Floridiana”. There is an attendant, (his name is Gianluca), to park your car.
